How are the beans doing?
the beans are good they are 20 cm.

Why do we do this?
for science in our class groups.

What is the porpoise for this bean?
so we can have an experience of our plant and to see it grow and then eat it.

Where is a plant need to go if it is inside?
you need to keep it by a window and so it gets the sun and heat.

Who helped us?
I helped us water it and Jamie takes the photos we did a lot of work but that is our job.

When did we start this experience?
we started this experience when we started our science this term.Wednesday 27th may 2015

ATRACT'EM AD

W.A.L.T: analyse the story by making an advertisement promoting a product from the story.
This is our plan

Poutokomanawa ad

W.A.l.t: persuade by advertising POUTOKOMANAWA

Success Criteria
  • Opening statement - introduce your point of view
  • Use good reasons and evidence to convince your readers
  • Use facts rather than persuasive comments
  • Try to get the reader interested and on your side - appear reasonable
  • Fascinate your readers so that they agree with you
  • Use strong, positive language
  • Short sentences can help give emphasis
  • Make the reader think that everybody else does this, agrees or that it will make them a better, happier person, eg Everyone agrees that..., We all know that...
  • Draw the reader in, eg At long last the ...... that you have been waiting for
  • Be informative, persuasive and friendly
  • Alliteration can make slogans memorable, eg Buy British Beef
  • Use humour as it can help get people on your side

My Whakapapa

Observation record: seed planting

What are the differences between the seeds? The Dry bean is a dark brown and the soaked bean is a light brown.
What do you think caused the differences? I think the water lightend the bean up.
